General Medicine: opening towards Associations: Conclusions Thesis – INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT OF PORTABLE PATIENTS OF CARDIAC IMPLANTABLE DEVICES IN THE AMBULATORY OF THE MEDICINE GENERAL DOCTOR
The patient with a Cardiac Implantable Device (DIC) needs to receive numerous reassurances and information on how to manage his new life after the implant and how to resume his previous activities as much as possible.
The patient can find this information in cardiology centers, where DIC patients are followed and by their general practitioner, as a professional reference guide for the patient and their family.
It is to be hoped that the management of patients with DIC will increasingly become an integrated management between the outpatient management at the reference cardiology center and the management in the outpatient department of their general practitioner, so as to follow constantly and more closely the patients.
The APDIC (Association of Cardiac Impaired Device Bearers) can mediate this communication.
